The MRBF Marine Rated Battery Fuse and Holder by Blue Sea Systems is the ideal battery fuse for LithiumPro Energy ‘Drop-in-replacement’ range of batteries.  With a compact, high-integrity fuse designed specifically for marine and mobile power applications. Engineered to protect high-amperage circuits, this fuse delivers reliable protection for lithium battery banks, inverters, and heavy-duty DC systems from 30 to 300 amps. Its space-saving design allows for direct-to-post installation on battery terminals, preventing the requirement for small jumper cable and increased resistance while maximising system efficiency. Fully ignition protected and meeting ABYC and SAE standards, the Blue Sea MRBF fuse is built for harsh environments, making it a trusted choice for professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike seeking robust, corrosion-resistant circuit protection in marine, RV, and off-grid setups.

MRBF (Marine Rated Battery Fuses) from Blue Sea are essential for lithium battery banks, which can deliver extremely high currents in a dead-short scenario due to their low internal resistance.  Large lithium battery systems require High Interrupt Capacity (AIC) fuses to safely break circuits carrying thousands of amps without melting or failing to disconnect when required.

Supplied with a Bussmann CBBF fuse which has a interrupt capacity up to 10,000 amps at 14 VDC, ensuring it can safely isolate a fault even in powerful lithium battery systems. These fuses are essential to:

  • Prevent accidental short circuits and catastrophic equipment failure.

  • Comply with safety standards like ABYC and ISO for marine and mobile power systems.
